Telebasel ist ein regionaler Schweizer Fernsehsender. Am 13. Juni 1993 strahlte Telebasel die erste Sendung aus. Telebasel ist der einzige Schweizer Regionalfernsehsender, hinter dem kein Verlagshaus oder private Investoren stehen. Der Sender ist finanziell, wirtschaftlich und politisch unabhängig. Die Finanzierung erfolgt zu rund 60 % durch Werbung, Sponsoring und TV-Produktionsleistungen. 40 % der Finanzierung erfolgen durch Service-Public-Gelder der BAKOM-Konzession und die Kabelnetze Basel, Allschwil (BL) und Schönenbuch (BL).
